ITEM DONATIONS
OUR THANKS TO THE RECENT DOANTION BY DERRICK LEE WHO HAD A BIRTHDAY PARTY DONATION EVENT AND SENT US DOZENS OF ITEMS FROM OUR LIST! THANKS DERRICK!!!
There are several items we regularly use and need to replace often. Many items are findable at dollar stores and some in recycle bins and yard sales, so kids can make donations as well. Here a a list of some of the low priced items we constantly use up:
1) Cleaners
Paper towels
Hand sanitizer
Orange clean (non-bleach & non-ammonia)
Dawn brand dish detergent (antibacterial)
Laundry detergent & dryer sheets
‘Scotchbrite' type metal scrub pads
Heavy duty lawn leaf bags
Gallon sized & sandwich sized zip closure plastic bags
Tall kitchen bags with scentguard
2) Misc. Medical
Rubbing alcohol
Hydrogen peroxide
Silver Sulfadiazine cream
Nitrile gloves (Sm, Med, Lg, and XL)
Eyewash for birds (Different than dog and cat, ph balanced for birds!)
Mite and Lice Spray for birds
Plastic 'daisy mat" welcome mats (thick outdoor carpet style welcome mats for perch covers) or astroturf
Newsprint paper (not slicks) as flat as possible
Towels, old bed sheets (flat), and old tablecloths for use as cage cushions
3) Containers
2-4 gallon plastic tubs low and flat, not tall (for water / bathing bowls for cages)
5 gallon empty buckets with tightly sealed lids
SPECIALIZED ITEMS:
Raptor Vitamins (We use "Vitahawk” brand)
Falconry / hawking / raptor gloves ( and/or welding gloves)
Raptor leashes or leather to make leashes
Swivels and other control hardware
Decent pairs of scissors for leather and bandage cutting
